the way our family conducts itself isn't any of your business. for what it's worth I'm pretty sure if my mother thought I was bringing a loose woman home to the house she lives in, that my family has always lived in, that would be over the line

[He doesn't get an answer, but about forty-five minutes later, an Avox shows up unbidden with a large gourmet coffee from a shop.]

[He drinks it, but it's unsatisfying. Also he was lying about the coffee, it's fine at the Tribute Center.]

[The "responding" bubble sticks up for a very long time as Swann decides whether to actually send what she's typed. It finally goes through, and it's shockingly forward for someone who usually hides and buries everything, but it's been a long time since she's been so hurt.]
